Mirror No. 69 (1989–1991)

A glass artwork made of fused and curved glass with gold leaf on glass, created by the artist Umberto Mariani. Between 1980 and 1992, Mariani aligned with the return of imagery in art, influenced by the Transavantgarde movement and inspired by De Chirico and Magritte.

His theatrical installations, rich in varied materials, combine trompe l’oeil techniques with references to De Chirico’s metaphysical interiors, challenging minimalism and conceptualism.
